ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NARFE Premier FCU yesterday said it has contracted with LifeLock to provide its members with a discounted rate for the company’s identity theft services, including a credit freeze.
Members of NARFE Premier will receive 30 days free and 10% off for life. LifeLock allows credit freezes by setting and automatically renewing fraud alerts with the major credit bureaus. It also removes member names from pre-approved credit card offers and junk mail lists. The company offers a $1 million guarantee on the service.
The company recently added an additional service to all clients–free of charge–called WalletLock, which works to cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen.
NARFE stands for National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and the credit union, formerly known as U.S. Premier FCU, serves all active and retired federal employees across the U.S., as well as in Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.
