Duluth, Ga. NCR Corp. reported a 15% drop in second quarter net income to $86 million, even as second quarter revenue rose 9% to $1.5 billion.
The company’s core Financial Services segment generated second quarter revenue of $782 million, a decrease of 1% from the second quarter of 2012; while its Retail Solutions segment generated revenue of $515 million, an increase of 26%. The Hospitality segment generated revenue of $158 million, an increase of 22%.
Second quarter highlights included the signing of Wright-Patt CU to NCR’s new video teller services.
NCR also continued to expand availability of its multivendor software through certification of its NCR APTRA software by Elan Financial Services and its network of 33,000 ATMs.
For the first six months of the year NCR reported an 11% increase in revenue to $2.9 billion, and a 3% decline in net income to $147 million.
