NCUA Bans TexDot CU Worker In $195,000 Embezzlement

The embezzlement was one of several major thefts at the failed credit union, which was merged in 2008 into nearby Postal Community CU. The manager of TexDot, Joanna McGee, last year was sentenced to six years in prison for embezzling more than $2 million from the tiny credit union.

Shook, who was sentenced to a year in prison, was paying her personal credit card bills with credit union funds.

NCUA also barred Margaret Aldridge, a former employee at Coastal Waters FCU, Mobile Ala., and David Gleason, a former employee at Mid-Tex FCU in Brownwood, Texas.
