ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA yesterday announced it has named Mary Ann Woodson, currently the deputy chief financial officer at the Department of Homeland Security, as its new CFO.
Woodson will succeed longtime CFO Dennis Winans, who retired at year end after almost three decades with the credit union agency.
Prior to joining DHS, which is a conglomeration of what once were 22 different federal agencies, Woodson was budget director at the FBI.
Woodson has worked for the federal government since 1979 and served more than 10 years on the board of Justice FCU, which included stints as board secretary, treasurer, vice chairman and chairman.
As CFO at NCUA, she will have oversight of the agency’s spending and finances for the National CU Share Insurance Fund.
