ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA has implemented a new financial management system from Apptis, Inc., that transformed the core financial management processes and systems of the agency.
Apptis, a provider of defense and other federal agency services, teamed with the Enterprise Services Center on the system, called the Financial Federalization Project. FINFED aims to modify and improve NCUA’s financial practices so it can perform federal accounting using the U.S. Government's Standard General Ledger at the transaction level with appropriate budgetary and accounting entries.
The 17-month project cost NCUA about $2 million.
Apptis is based in Chantilly, Va.
