Nebraska Bank Creates Music CD to Lure Young Residents

Seeking to attract younger customers, First National Bank of Omaha has begun offering music. First National created a compact disk (CD) of local independent artists with the cooperation of an Omaha music store chain. The music store employees were chosen to select the music enhancing the music's "cool factor" with area university students.

The bank's younger employees passed 5,000 CDs out to university students at concerts and on local campuses with literature asking "Shouldn't your bank understand what's important to you?"

The $16-billion bank operates in 13 states and sought to establish early relationships with younger students by combining their interests in music and technology.
