SAN DIEGO – An interactive ad based on North Island CU’s “Island Paradise” theme is proving a popular diversion, allowing shoppers, theatre-goers and others to view some of San Diego’s most popular sites at the touch of a finger.
The ads were produced by Reactrix Systems, a Redwood City, Calif., firm which creates interactive brand displays that respond to the physical movements of the audience. The company has produced popular interactive ads for Coca Cola, Samsung, World Savings and Subway.
The ads feature the credit union’s signature mural, known as “Polymorphous Paradise,” which was updated earlier this year to show 20 new landmarks–for a total of 50–from San Diego to Riverside. Among the landmarks are: the Gaslamp District, the San Diego State University Bell Tower, the Temecula vineyards, Petco Park, the San Diego waterfront, Balboa Park, the roller coaster at Mission Bay and local beaches. The viewer just needs to touch one of the sites and a full-color narrative appears.
The credit union’s “Island Paradise” interactive ad can be viewed at: www.myisland.com/island/interactivepoly.do .
The new “Island Paradise” artwork will be incorporated into print, collateral and affinity items for the $1.5 billion credit union.
