Xtend, CU*Answers Team Up

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-Xtend, Inc., a multi-owned CUSO, was contracted by fellow CUSO CU*Answers, Inc., to drive industry-wide awareness of a new risk management tool, called Risk Management Report Generator, via an outbound call campaign.

Separately, Xtend said sales during the three-month period ending Dec. 31 represented its largest fiscal first quarter ever, with a 68% increase over the same period in 2008.

LSI Signs Up 15 New CUs In Q4

ELGIN, Ill.-Lending Solutions, Inc., said 15 credit unions have signed on for its lending and member service contact center services this quarter. The majority of the new accounts are using LSI's flagship loan-by-phone and online lending services, including LSI's exclusive WebReach program. Three of the credit unions are also partnering with LSI as their 24/7 member service call center, and five of the institutions are employing LSI for outbound calling campaigns.

CUs Win Mortgage Lending Kudos

FAIRBORN, Ohio-myCUmortgage announced the winners of its annual awards for excellence in mortgage lending. Dynamic FCU, Celina, Ohio, was named "Originator of the Year" in the small credit union category. DESCO FCU was named "Originator of the Year" in the large credit union category. Bayer Heritage FCU, Proctor, W.V., and Clark County Indiana Teachers FCU in Jeffersonville, Ind., were recognized for achieving the largest percentage increase for a myCUmortgage partner credit union. CUSC, CFS Announce Partnership

WASHINGTON-Credit Union Student Choice announced a strategic partnership with Collegiate Funding Solutions (CFS), a provider of integrated, web-based college funding solutions and college planning softwar. Under the deal, the firms will cross promote each other and provide an integrated package to CUs that offers both programs.

Summit CU Renews With Bluepoint Solutions

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Summit CU has signed a five-year renewal of a contract with Bluepoint Solutions to use the company's teller capture, receipt manager and enterprise content management products.

The $130 million credit union also added Bluepoint's disaster recovery services.

Unisys Payment Systems Operating Unit Now Burroughs Payments Systems

PLYMOUTH, Mich.-The payment systems operating unit of Unisys Corporation has been sold to private-equity firm Marlin Equity Partners and is now Burroughs Payments Systems, Inc.

Corporate headquarters, previously at Unisys headquarters in Blue Bell, Penn., will be located in the company's existing office location in Plymouth, Mich.

Marlin Equity Partners has acquired the check and cash automation equipment and related U.S. maintenance, printer and direct supply business of Unisys Corporation and subsequently formed a new company, Burroughs Payment Systems, Inc. Burroughs is a provider of hardware and related services that address the image capture and payment processing needs of financial institutions, remittance processors, and retailers worldwide.
