TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma Central CU has acquired WilServ CU, creating the state’s seventh-largest credit union with more than $320 million in assets.
WilServ was chartered in 1934 in Kansas City as Great Lakes CU, then moved to Tulsa when its chief sponsor, Great Lakes Pipeline, was acquired by Williams Cos. The credit union, which has $75 million in assets, first changed its name to Williams Employees CU, then in 2004 to WilServ CU.
Oklahoma Central has $245 million in assets and serves 400 select groups from six Tulsa locations.
