BEAVERTON, Ore. – Credit unions from Oregon and Washington raised $105,000 to benefit three local hospitals with the Oregon CU Association’s annual Credit Unions for Kids live auction.
The funds will go to benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital and the pediatric units of Sacred Hart Medical Center and Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Several items in the live auction would go directly to patients. These include two red wagons full of toys, three Roaming Playstation Gaming systems, and an opportunity for ten Doernbecher patients to meet Victory’s Wicked Lad, a racehorse training at Scott Raley’s Quarter Horse training farm. Cash for Kids, a paddle bid, itself raised $36,000.
Since 1986 Oregon and Washington credit unions have raised over $7 to benefit children who are treated at the three Oregon Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
