ALEXANDRIA, Va. Pentagon FCU on Tuesday said it has signed a marketing alliance with Armed Forces Benefits Association to extend its auto financing and car buying services to AFBA members, while PenFed members will get access the group’s selection of life insurance programs.
“This relationship strengthens both of our organization’s missions to seek out viable services that combine real value with true benefit to our memberships,” said Frank Pollack, president of the $16-billion credit union.
Armed Forces Benefit Association was established with the support of Army General Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1947. It offers life insurance to members of the uniformed services and their families. AFBA currently has more than 400,000 members with more than $40 billion of life insurance in force and in excess of $1.5 billion of claims paid since inception. These life insurance programs are underwritten by 5Star Life Insurance Company, a related enterprise of AFBA.
