WASHINGTON - (09/28/04) -- Peter Crear, a long-time figure inthe credit union movement, will be inducted into the CooperativeHall of Fame next April, along with three other influentialcooperators. Crear, currently serving as executive vice presidentfor CUNA, is retiring next year after 40 years in the credit unionmovement, including stints as president of the Indiana andConnecticut credit union leagues, and as vice president of theMichigan league. Crear also serves on the board of U.S. Central CU,the Consumer Federation of America, and is immediate past chairmanand current board member of the National Cooperative BusinessAssociation.
