GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. - (02/28/06) A Jacksonville man was arrestedand charged last week with counterfeiting at least $100,000 worthof payroll checks then cashing the bogus checks on local creditunions and banks. Authorities said after his arrest Roland Johnson,20, admitted to printing the phony checks and driving aco-conspirator to Community First CU and Navy FCU to cash them.Johnson has been charged with grand theft and defrauding afinancial institution.
