EDISON, N.J. – Pinnacle FCU said it has implemented Ongoing Operations’ Data Vaulting, a new plan for protecting information which sends data offsite where it can be protected from hardware failures, theft and other threats.
“Ongoing Operations is a partner we can rely on to keep our credit union up and running in the event of a disaster,” said Harry Jacobson, president of the $165-million credit union.
Web backup services are being provided that will compress, encrypt and periodically transmit a customer’s data to a remote vault.
Ongoing Operations said its Data Vaulting services provide a secure, online backup service that transports data to a fortified data center. The CUSO said it features sophisticated data compression technologies and a secure offsite subsystem that is replicated to a backup storage system.
