KEY WEST, Fla. - (03/21/05) -- Police say they have arrested a manwho robbed Keys FCU last week by threatening the teller with apitchfork. The suspect, identified as Fred Simunovic, was arrestedas he waited to board the Key West Ferry to Fort Myers. Simunovichad threatened a teller with the garden tool, then ran out of thecredit union with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Theyfound $1,900 believed stolen from the credit union on him when hewas arrested. Police found Simunovic at the ferry terminal afterthe captain refused to ley him board because he appeareddrunk.
