VCUL Endorses John M. Floyd

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt.-The Vermont Credit Union League Services Corp. has signed an agreement with John M. Floyd & Associates, Inc. (JMFA) of Houston, naming it as its "Preferred Business Partner" for the JMFA Overdraft Privilege program. Leagues in Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico and Texas also have recently endorsed JMFA. The firm's automated service helps members avoid added costs and embarrassment from bounced share drafts.

CUER Adds Consulting Services

DALLAS-Credit Union Employment Resources, Inc. (CUER), a subsidiary of the Texas league, has added employment, consulting and strategic planning services with the purchase of Integrated Business Resources. Karen Houston, president of IBR, will assume a managerial role within CUER, overseeing its North Texas and out-of-state operations. CUER was established in 1993 by the Texas Credit Union League to provide Employment, Staffing, HR and educational services to Texas CUs. In recent years CUER has also delivered services to CUs in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Colorado. CUER has offices in Dallas and Houston.

Casco FCU Invests In CUSO

HAMPDEN, Maine-CUSO Mortgage Corp. has approved Casco FCU in Gorham, Maine as a new investor in the organization. CFCU CEO Dave Sayers has also been named to the board of directors of CUSO Mortgage Corp. "We view our increased involvement through an ownership stake in CUSO Mortgage Corp. as the next step in serving the needs of our current members as well as strengthening our ability to serve future members," said Sayers.

Erie Shores CU Selects Agency

MAUMEE, Ohio-Erie Shores Credit Union (ESCU) has selected The Lauerer Markin Group to market its new identity and provide other marketing services.

The credit union, which serves 70 SEGs, has expanded beyond its original FOM. LMG said it will be focusing on developing the ESCU brand through market research, and then using those findings to position and promote ESCU through appropriate programs, including PR, member relations, advertising and promotion.
