CUNA Mutual To Offer Webinars

MADISON, Wis.-CUNA Mutual Group will host a series of online asset-liability management Webinars in September and October to help credit union participants better manage interest rate risk. All sessions count toward continuing education (CPE) credits, which are available upon request to registered attendees. The topics, speakers, dates and costs are:

* Strategic Economic Outlook, 2005 and Beyond, 10 a.m. CDT, Sept. 21. Dave Colby, CUNA Mutual chief economist. Cost is $139.

* Maximizing Profits Via Improved Decision Making, (four sessions), 2 p.m. CDT, Sept. 8, 15, 22 and 29. Tom Farin, CEO of Farin & Associates. Cost for the series is $495, and multiple staff may participate through use of a data projector and screen.

Black Hills Selects TWS

CLEARWATER, Fla.-The $471-million Black Hills CU has selected TWS Systems, Inc. (TWS) to partner in migrating its transactions processing operations to an image-based system. The credit union selected IMAGECENTER BY TWS, a back-office processing solution, to serve as a collection point for transactions originating at its branches.

VolCorp Latest To Join BLG

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-VolCorp has become the latest corporate to enter into a joint venture with CU Business Group, LLC (CUBG) to provide resources and consulting services for credit unions offering member business lending. CU Business Group is currently working with more than 53 credit unions in 12 states. VolCorp is planning three seminars across the state to offer additional information.

W. Virginia Endorses PULSE

PARKERSBURG, W.V.- The West Virginia Credit Union League's Services Corporation has endorsed the PULSE ATM/debit network as the preferred provider of ATM network services. The service corp also elected to endorse Select ATM, Houston-based PULSE EFT Association's surcharge-free ATM alliance program.
