16 CUs Sign With Elan

MILWAUKEE-Elan Financial Services reported that it signed agreements with 16 credit unions in the first quarter of 2006 to provide credit card outsourcing services to their members. The new agreements cover $76 million in combined outstanding balances. The deals were brokered by The Kessler Group.

U.S. Central Selects CheckFree

ATLANTA-CheckFree Corp. has been selected by U.S. Central, Lenexa, Kan., to implement the CheckFree PEP+ Platinum solution. The strategic software and services deployment will enable the industry to continue to grow and aggregate Automated Clearing House (ACH) volumes and deliver enhanced services to its corporate user base, the company said, adding that with the deployment, eight of the nation's 10 largest ACH receiving institutions will be processing ACH transactions via CheckFree's technology.

Partnership For Kiosk Transactions

NAPERVILLE, Ill.-U.S. Biometrics said it is partnering with Real Time Kiosks, Norfolk, Va, to provide a new solution for kiosk transactions in the financial market. "A combination of Real Time's self-service kiosks and U.S. Biometrics hardware and software matching algorithms will be combined for use by financial institutions," the companies said.

SWBC Completes SAS 70 Audit

SAN ANTONIO-Southwest Business Corporation (SWBC) said it has successfully completed its SAS 70 (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70) Type II audit. A SAS 70 Type II audit is an internationally recognized in-depth analysis of a service organization's control over information technology and related processes, the company noted.
