REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – South Bay CU has hired Jennifer Oliver, the president of nearby California Bear CU and a resident of nearby Hermosa Beach, as CEO of the $71 million privately insured credit union.
Oliver has more than 20 years experience as a credit union executive, having also worked as senior vice president of WestStar CU in Las Vegas.
South Bay reported a $229,000 net for the first three quarters of the year, after a $789,000 loss for 2009.
The top five banks and thrifts had combined assets of more than $13 trillion as of December 31, 2023.
