Spire FCU Announces New CEO

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Spire FCU, the state’s sixth-largest credit union, last week said its chief financial officer, Dan Stoltz, who has been serving as interim CEO since November, was given the permanent job to head the $565 million credit union.

Stoltz, who served as Spire’s CFO for more than 10 years, replaced John Gisler amid major losses – $11.5 million for 2009. Spire formerly was known as Twin-City Co-Op FCU.

Stoltz also has been a city councilman for 12 years.
