Students Plan Branch Opening

FLINT, Mich. - (03/21/05) -- Financial Plus CU donated $1,000last week to help launch a new teen center being organized thelocal school district and Swartz Creek United Methodist Church tohelp mark the opening of its new Swartz Creek branch. The grandopening was designed by a group of high school marketing andadvertising students who helped plan the ribbon-cutting ceremony,chose a caterer, buy door prizes and manage the credit union's$7,000 budget for the week's events. More than 100 people,including staff, school and civic leaders attended the grandopening, held in a tent outside the new branch.
