SHAZAM Offers Mobile App

DES MOINES, Iowa-The SHAZAM BOLT$ mobile app is now available through Google Play, as well as in the iPhone store, meaning both Android and iPhone users from the more than 300 participant financial institutions can use it. The app alerts cardholders to potential fraud and allows them to check balances.

SHAZAM BOLT$ is an extention of SHAZAM's fraud-prevention services, and alerts are generated any time suspicious purchases are made. Those alerts are based on criteria such as purchases above amounts specificed by the cardholder, card-not-present transactions, and suspicious or high-risk transactions. The app can be configured to match an FI's branding, and a web version is available for cardholders who prefer to access it via desktop/laptop or mobile browser.

Check Scanning Upgraded

MT. PROSPECT, Ill.-Cummins Allison has partnered with CTS North America to expand its portfolio of check processing solutions. The expansion is set to enable Cummins Allison to provide the industry's broadest line of check scanning solutions. Cumins Allison's agreement with CTS North America will allow it to offer cost-effective high quality deposit-processing operations, as well as solutions for commercial remote deposit capture, said Cummins Allison's EVP Frank Janezic.

Wipro Unveils 'Lend Value'

SLCCU Taps NCB For Settlements

ARLINGTON, Va.-The National Cooperative Bank announced that St. Louis Community CU has transitioned its settlement activity and most of its correspondent banking services to NCB.

St. Louis Community CU said it chose NCB as its services provider because of strong economic value, shared mission and no capital requirement. SLCCU President Patrick Adams stressed that NCB "offered an exceptional value proposition compared to many traditional providers, including going directly to the Federal Reserve."

NCB has also partnered with a variety of credit union organizations including the National Credit Union Foundation, the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, and multiple CUSOs.

Mobile Lending Channel Takes Off

ELGIN, Ill.-Lending Solutions, Inc. (LSI) is reporting growth in the number of loan applications it is processing via the mobile channel on behalf of its credit union clients. The volume of mobile applications has increased 443% from 2012 to 2013. LSI's mobile application is part of the company's internet lending service which includes a dynamic online application with automated decision technology, as well as a team of underwriters available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The mobile application contains all the functionality of LSI's standard internet application, but is optimized for smart phones including iPhones(tm) and all Android(tm) phones.

Cloud Computing Solution Offered

PLANO, Texas-Catalyst Corporate FCU has announced that it will provide credit unions with cloud computing and other IT outsourcing solutions. The Catalyst Cloud Computing (C3) platform, powered by Compushare, will allow credit unions to move all of their local applications and processes to a secure, scalable, high-redundancy remote environment. A suite of enterprise-class systems-management and security solutions is also available to serve credit unions that currently have limited outsourcing needs.

Thuridion, Aujas Team Up

More than 300 organizations around the world, including many FIs, already use Aujas services such as Phishnix(tm) to discover and plug vulnerabilities in their security posture, including employee-based social engineering.

CHATSWORTH, Calif.-Autoland Inc. has launched an optimized mobile website after seeing a 67% jump in mobile traffic to its website in just the last year. The optimized site doesn't require a software download, it recognizes when a user is viewing the site on a mobile device and automatically launches the mobile-friendly version of the site.
