JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - (04/22/05) -- Two men used a small bomb to blowopen an ATM at VyStar CU here Wednesday night and made off with$64,000 of cash inside. A witness staying in an adjacent hotel saidhe heard a loud explosion around 10:30 pm, then ran to the windowto see a cloud of smoke coming from the machine and two men loadingthe ATM canisters into a minivan, then driving off. Police arrivedto find the ATM partially opened, with burn marks on the lockingmechanism. The credit union's surveillance video shows twosuspects, one wearing a hood over his head and the other wearing ascarf around his head.
