Thieves Loot CU ATM

ROME, N.Y. - (03/16/05) -- Two masked suspects broke into CoosaValley FCU and Greater Rome Bank within an hour of each other earlyMonday morning in separate attempts to break into the twoinstitutions' ATMs. The burglars were unsuccessful in opening thebank machine, but did break into the credit union ATM, making offwith as much as $40,000 in cash from the machine. The thieves werecaught on surveillance tape breaking into the credit union ATM inthe drive-thru around 4 am.
