CUNA spokesperson Pat Keefe stated that CUNA will not "know the impact of healthcare reform on CUs for a while," noting that the trade association is focusing much of its time on legislation related to member business lending, the regulatory restructuring bill introduced by Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd (D-CT), the proposed corporate credit union rules, and alternative capital.

NAFCU did not respond about the impact of healthcare reform when contacted by Credit Union Journal.
