Two divisions of Chartway FCU come fully into the fold

Two divisions of Virginia Beach, Va.-based Chartway FCU are set to be formally merged into the $2.2 billion-asset credit union.

Effective January 17, HeritageWest and SouthWest Community CUs will officially adopt the Chartway brand. Uniting the family of credit unions, under one shared name, Chartway FCU said, will provide “strengthened member benefits” and a “consistent experience” across all of the credit union’s 17 Utah-based branches and its 50 locations nationwide.

Heidi E. Worker, director of enterprise communications at Chartway FCU, explained that HeritageWest and SouthWest Community have both been operating as divisions of Chartway FCU, while maintaining their own name and logo, since they were acquired by Chartway FCU in 2010.

HeritageWest CU is based in Tooele, Utah, while SouthWest Community CU is based in St. George, Utah.
