Two lawyers well known to many credit unions are forming a strategic alliance. Brian Witt of Farleigh Wada & Witt, P.C., of Portland, Ore. and Guy Messick of Lastowka & Messick P.C., of Media, Penn., said their firms will remain independent but will combine some resources to serve credit union and CUSO clients.
The partnership has years of experience in a variety of CU areas including: regulatory compliance; consumer, mortgage and business lending; preparation of consumer and business deposit, lending and operational forms; electronic delivery of services; CUSO formation and governance; and more.
Witt is also outside counsel to the Oregon and Washington leagues and the CU Association of the West.
Messick serves as general counsel to the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations and liaison with the NCUA and Securities and Exchange Commission.
