BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – United Educational CU continued its Bright Ideas grant program with $5,210 in awards to innovative teachers and classrooms in the first quarter.

The credit union said the Bright Ideas Partnership Program provides funds for great educational ideas and programs within the communities it serves.
The $100 million credit union was chartered in 1936 by teachers in the Battle Creek School District. United Educational said it has evolved from “the teacher's credit union” to “the credit union that teaches” with a special focus on the educational community, as well as financial and consumer education for the entire community.
