United Financial CU Offers Free TaxFiling For Low-Income

SAGINAW, Mich. - (01/18/06) -- United Financial CU unveiled anInternet-based tax filing system for low- and moderate-incomeindividuals and families for state and federal income taxes. Theinitiative, called 'Just File It!' was developed by the Michigan CULeague, which is urging credit unions to use the new program toprovide low-income filers an alternative to costly fee-based taxservices. So far, 35 Michigan credit unions have signed on to theprogram. United Financial CU will provide computer kiosks on siteavailable for individuals to use.
