University Of Hawaii FCU’s CEO Ariel Chun Retires

HONOLULU - Ariel Chun, president and CEO of the University of Hawaii FCU for the last 23 years, announced she is retiring on Dec. 31.

Chun has grown the credit union from a small mom-and-pop shop to more than $390 million in assets and 23,000 members.

The credit union, which serves the University of Hawaii and affiliated community colleges, reported a midyear operating net of $4 million, which doesn’t include an NCUSIF stabilization charge.
