SAN ANTONIO – USAA has filed a lawsuit claiming the publication Military Times has been falsely presenting Navy Federal Credit Union as the sponsor of this weekend’s college football game between Army and Navy, even though USAA is in the second year of a 10-year agreement to be the game’s presenting sponsor.

Navy FCU is not a defendant in the litigation.
The suit was filed against Gannett Media Technologies Inc. and Times News Group Inc., which publishes the Military Times. The suit is seeking unspecified financial compensation, including punitive damages. For one of the few times in the game’s long history it will not be played in Philadelphia – instead it will be played at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. on Saturday.
