Veridian CU Inks e-Billing Deal With Western Union

WATERLOO, Iowa – Veridian CU announced this morning it signed with Western Union to offer members global money-transfer and expedited bill payment services across all of the $2.2 billion credit union’s 26 Iowa branches.

“This will allow us to offer a broad suite of products and services to meet the needs of our members while continuing to deliver an outstanding member experience,” said Mark Koppedryer, vice president of branch services for the credit union giant.

Under the deal, members of Veridian, the one-time credit union for John Deere employees, will have the ability to send and receive domestic or international money transfers with funds accessible for pay-out at more than 500,000 Western Union Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories, and make urgent payments conveniently and quickly to an extensive biller network.

Veridian, the state’s largest credit union, also plans to offer Western Union online services to its online banking members.
