SAN FRANCISCO - (10/13/05) -- Visa USA said Wednesday it hasupgraded its Single VisaNet system to allow credit unions and banksto manage their consumer card portfolios, including rewardsofferings, at the individual account level, matching individualoffers with specific consumer needs and interests. The upgradeswill allow a card issuer to use the full 16-digit card number toidentify whether a particular Visa cardholder would benefit from aprogram or service offered by a merchant or the institution,allowing issuers to personalize rewards and otherprograms.
