CUNA Takes Over Loyalty Program

MADISON, Wis.-CUNA Mutual Group and CUNA said they have agreed to transition CUNA Mutual's Creating Member Loyalty (CML) organizational training program to CUNA. The CML program provides training and implementation support to help credit unions develop their member service and sales culture and enhance the leadership and coaching capabilities of their staff. Created by CUNA Mutual more than 20 years ago, CML now offers more than 60 sales and service training modules covering such areas as member sales and service, leadership and training to nearly 400 credit unions.

Winners Apply Scholarships

MADISON, Wis.-CUES reported that the four recipients of the first Leadership Scholars Program have elected to use their scholarships to attend CUES' executive education programs. Recipients Larry Palochik, CEO, South Bay Credit Union, Redondo Beach, Calif., and John Pamer, CEO, Diablo Valley FCU, Concord, Calif., will attend CUES' Advanced Leadership Institute, to be held in partnership with the California and Nevada leagues, July 20-25, 2008, at Harvard Business School in Boston. Recipients Gregg Stockdale, CEO, 1st Valley Credit Union, San Bernardino, Calif., and Michael Stremme, CEO, Palo Alto Community FCU, Palo Alto, Calif., will attend CUES' CEO Institute I: Strategic Planning, March 30-April 4, 2008, at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Reynolds To Chair Roundtable

ARLINGTON, Va.-NASCUS Chairman George Reynolds, senior deputy commissioner of the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, has been elected Chairman of the State Financial Regulators Roundtable (SFRR). SFRR's mission is to provide a forum for communication, coordination and cooperation among state regulatory associations in the promotion of effective state regulatory oversight of financial service providers.
