More Credit Unions In Mergers

HARRISON, Ark. The members of Millbrook FCU have voted to merge with Telcoe FCU. The $143-million, Little Rock, Ark.- based Telcoe FCU has 17,500 members.

Meanwhile, in Canton, Ohio, T&C Credit Union has merged into CSE Federal Credit Union. All employees of the 44-year-old T&C have retained their jobs; T&C's former property on Georgetown Rd. has been sold to the city of Canton. The $77.5-million CSE FCU has 18,500 members.

International CU Day Materials

MADISON, Wis. International Credit Union Day posters and brochures have been mailed to credit unions. This year's official theme is "Credit Unions: The Heart of Our Communities."

CUNA reported that credit unions will find a variety of promotional materials and celebration ideas in the brochure and on CUNA's International Credit Union Day website, by visiting buy.cuna.org and entering "ICUDay" in the search box.

Pennsylvania Assists Kenyans

HARRISBURG, Penn. The Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation has made a $5,000 grant to Strathmore College, Nairobi, Kenya.

"The funds will be used by Strathmore to teach WOCCU's "PEARLS program," said Chairman John Kebles, The grant is the first step in a continuing process by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association to provide assistance to Kenya's Credit Union Movement.
