Mica Named As A Top Lobbyist

WASHINGTON- CUNA President and CEO Dan Mica was named a "top association lobbyist" by The Hill, a newspaper that covers the Congress and the Capitol Hill community. Mica was one of 37 association lobbyists named, and was recognized for CUNA's achievements on Capitol Hill.

Waite Appointed To FASB Board

SAN FRANCISCO-Patelco Credit Union's Chief Financial Officer, Scott Waite, has been named by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) to its newly formed FASB Small Business Advisory Committee. Waite will be the only credit union representative on the committee. FASB said the new committee's role will be to obtain more active involvement by the small-business community in developing standards, including issues raised in developing FASB proposals.

2 CUs On NACHA's Top 50 List

WASHINGTON-Two credit unions made the list of the top 50 automated clearing house receivers during 2003, according to the National Automated Clearing House Association.

Ranked at no. 21 was Navy FCU in Virginia with $21.7 million in debits and $27.6 million in credits for a total of $49.4 million. Ranked. No. 39 was State Employees CU of North Carolina for $11.1 million in debits and $11.3 million in credits, for a total of $22.5 million.

Crier, Michaels To Speak
