CUES Elects New Board Officers
LAS VEGAS-The Credit Union Executives Society selected its board officers for 2005-2006 after the CUES Annual Business Meeting. The officers are: chairman, Rose Bartolomucci, CEO of Kent CU, Kent, Ohio; vice chairman/ chairman-elect, Carol Humenick, SVP-Community and Government Affairs of Citadel FCU, Thorndale, Penn.; treasurer, Mark Hawkins, CEO of Altura CU, Riverside, Calif., and secretary, Carla L. Altepeter, CEO of CitizensFirst CU, Oshkosh, Wis. Other members of the CUES' 2005-2006 board of directors include: Immediate Past Chairman Gary W. Irvin, CEO, FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis; Past Chairman Mickey Wilson, president, Greater Warren Community FCU, Warren, Ohio; Ron E. Pacific Service Rewards Members
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-Pacific Service Credit Union is giving its members a 5% rebate on interest earned on all existing funds on deposit and new money deposited into a six-month certificate or liquid deposits between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2006.
Members depositing new funds in a CD of one or longer during the same time period will receive a rebate of 10% on interest earned.
"One of the benefits of belonging to our Credit Union is that profits go back to our owners-our 70,000 members," said CEO Tom Smigielski. "Since 1996, we have paid our members over $12 million in bonuses. In 2006, a member earning $500 in interest on deposits with us will also receive a bonus rebate of either $50 for new funds or $25 for existing funds."

MADISON, Wis.-The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council is accepting nominations for its Hall of Fame, Business Development Professional of the Year and Marketing Professional of the Year awards through Dec. 16, 2005. Winners will be announced at the 2006 CUNA
