ALBANY, N.Y. - (02/07/06) -- Three young women pleaded guiltylast week to a check kiting scheme that victimized four areainstitution, including First New York FCU. The three moved bothstolen and insufficient funds checks among the four depositories,making withdrawals against them, resulting in a loss of about$25,000. The defendants were identified as 19-year-old AmberHertshorne, 20-year-old Anna Jones, both of Schenectady, andMelissa Streicher, 29, of Scotia.
