San Diego-based Mission FCU received the highest honor the San Diego-Imperial Girl Scout Council can bestow on a company: the Community Partner Award. Mission Fed was acknowledged for its support that helps Girl Scouts provide innovative, engaging and affordable leadership development programs for 23,000 girls in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Food drive

America First CU, Riverdale, Utah, donated collected food items from its 13th Annual Community Food Drive to the Utah Food Bank. AFCU collected a total of 18,402 lbs. of food. Separately, America First opened its latest branch inside the all-new Kent’s Market in Plain City, Utah, giving the credit union 123 locations.

TruStone Financial FCU, Plymouth, Minn., donated $2,500 to the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund. The organization, founded by local KARE 11 sports director and cancer survivor Randy Shaver, supports the Minnesota cancer community by funding research, detection, prevention and treatment.

Pacific Service CU, Concord, Calif., raised $15,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during the most recent Light the Night walk. Together, participants across the nation raised more than $61 million to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
