Bank of America's Cash-Back Deals System Launches Nationwide

Bank of America announced the nationwide launch of its online rewards system, BankAmeriDeals.

The system allows consumers to select deals online or through a mobile app and then redeem those offers by spending with an eligible Bank of America credit or debit card. The bank began testing BankAmeriDeals internally with Cardlytics in January, and has since rolled out the system regionally to consumers.

After a consumer redeems a cash-back reward, the funds are credited to the credit or checking account linked to the consumer's card.

"Consumers are busier and savvier than ever, which is why we're making it easy for customers to earn cash back while they're online or on the go," Aditya Bhasin, the bank's consumer marketing and online and mobile executive, said in a press release Aug. 14.

Merchant participants include Aeropostale, The Body Shop, FedEx Office, AutoZone, Redbox and the Atlanta Braves.

"We can now easily extend relevant Redbox offers to consumers when they review their debit or credit card transactions online or through their mobile banking app," said Mark Achler, senior vice president of New Business, Innovation and Strategy at Redbox, in the release.
