Monitise Americas LLC announced that 10 financial companies have signed up for its mobile banking and payments service through the NYCE Payments Network LLC unit of Metavante Technologies Inc.
Monitise, of Milwaukee, is a joint venture of Metavante (also of Milwaukee) and Monitise PLC, a British specialist in mobile banking technology. Monitise uses Metavante's debit network to provide its payment services.
Monitise said the 10 are: California Business Bank in Los Angeles; Gold Canyon Bank in Gold Canyon, Ariz.; Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union in Clinton Township; PyraMax Bank in Greenfield, Wis.; Seaside National Bank and Trust in Orlando; the retail banking unit of FNBC of La Grange Inc. in Illinois; Intrust Financial Corp. in Wichita; NCB Holdings Inc. in Chicago; the PrimeSouth Bank unit of Jones Bancshares in Waycross, Ga.; and the Summit Bank unit of Central Financial Corp. in Prescott, Ariz.
Current services available include balance inquiries, funds transfers, ministatements, and text message alerts.
Lisa Stanton, Monitise's chief executive, said in a press release Wednesday that Monitise's service enables financial companies "to deploy mobile banking to their market quickly, enables their customers to access their financial information from anywhere and uses a platform that they can trust."
