The funds transfer software vendor CashEdge Inc. signed 15 contracts with major banks last year.
The New York company announced the milestone Monday, and said the activity was driven, in part, by increased demand from financial companies that want to upgrade their online banking capabilities.
CashEdge said that its software is now used by four of the top five U.S. banking companies, and that it closed deals in 2007 with 15 banks ranked in the top 75.
"We are seeing a consistent trend of banks enhancing their online channel with best-of-breed solutions," Sanjeev Dheer, CashEdge's chief executive, said in a press release, "and now we are seeing the next tier of banks" following suit.
