Queensborough National Bank and Trust of Louisville, Ga., has converted its entire check processing infrastructure to imaging, using technology from Metavante Technologies Inc.
The Milwaukee vendor announced Tuesday that Queensborough has eliminated its back-office check processing sites and can convert all its checks to images at the branch, using its DirectBranch applications, or at merchant customers' locations, using the Sendpoint Merchant service.
Queensborough also uses Metavante's Endpoint Exchange network to send images to paying banks for settlement, as well as the vendor's xChange for the Fed software for delivering image cash letters to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
"By moving image capture out to the transaction source, QNB&T has improved service and achieved significant operational efficiencies and competitive advantages, including the acquisition of several new commercial clients," Pat Brown, a Queensborough senior vice president and its chief operating officer, said in a Metavante press release.
