Aboaf New Treasurer in Citi Reshuffling

Citigroup Inc. announced Monday that it has appointed Eric Aboaf treasurer.

Aboaf's duties include expanding the New York banking company's fixed-income investor base and more closely integrating treasury functions with risk operations.

Aboaf, who joined Citigroup in 2003 from the U.S. financial services practice at the consulting firm Bain, had been the chief financial officer of Citigroup's institutional clients group. His predecessor as treasurer, Zion Shohet, has replaced Hamid Biglari as chief operating officer of the institutional clients group.

Biglari was named vice chairman of the company's Citicorp division and will work with Vikram Pandit, Citigroup's chief executive officer, on strategies for the company's core businesses.
