Alabama Bank Hires Retired Executive as CEO

First National Bank of Talladega has coaxed a banking veteran out of retirement to serve as the Alabama company's president and chief executive.

John Belew had retired as president and CEO of American Patriot Bank in Greeneville, Tenn., two years ago, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.

Belew's background includes stints at SouthTrust, First American Bank and the Alabama State Banking Department.

First National has $408 million in assets.
