Amazon.com Joins Citi Reward Network

Citigroup Inc. said Tuesday that its ThankYou Network now lets customers use reward points to buy merchandise from Amazon.com Inc.

Nancy Gordon, the Citi executive vice president in charge of ThankYou Network, said in a press release that her company aims "to create unique experiences for our customers."

The network, created in 2004, was one of the first to reward customers for using a broad range of financial products and services offered by a company, not just cards.

According to Citi, the ThankYou program now has 13 million members.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. issues a cobranded credit card with Amazon that runs on Visa Inc.'s network.
