American Express (AXP) says it hired a new technology executive for the team that handles its digital wallet, Serve.
Neal Sample joined Amex Monday as a senior vice president. Most recently, Sample was the chief technology officer of eBay's (EBAY) open development and commerce platform, X.Commerce. Before that, he was eBay's vice president of architecture and platform products.
Sample has "a wealth of technology experience" and "an established track record of leading platform evolution for new technology," said Jason Hogg, Amex's president for Serve Enterprise, in a press release.
