NEW YORK American Express Co. has announced an agreement with Oracle Corp. of Redwood Shores, Calif., the largest provider of software for e-business, to integrate the American Express corporate purchasing card platform into the Oracle e-business suite.
The partners said this will streamline the payment and reconciliation process for online purchases between buyers and sellers.
American Express said its corporate purchasing card platform extends the benefits of the Oracle product by automating payment, reconciliation, and data integration, thereby providing an end-to-end electronic purchasing solution. This will ease order placement, fulfillment, reconciliation, data management, and program maintenance, the companies said.
