Richard Ashburn, formerly of Ashburn Public Finance Inc., has joined the financial advisory firm of Fieldman, Rolapp & Associates in Irvine, Calif., as a managing director.
In his new position, Mr. Ashburn, 31, will help the firm expand into new areas, such as transportation, sewer, and water financings. He started his own independent financial advisory firm in February of this year and said he has merged his firm's business with Fieldman Rolapp.
"We were getting pretty busy, and I wanted to expand," Mr. Ashburn said. "The best way to do that was to join forces with Fieldman Rolapp."
Mr. Ashburn previously worked as an investment banker for Stone & Youngberg in Los Angeles and San Diego from 1986 to 1990.
