A security device from AT&T, the Surity 3700, connects to standard fax machines and provides digital encryption to protect fax privacy. Encryption is performed automatically when transmitting to other machines with Surity fax devices.
The device lets users set up a closed fax network, allowing transmissions only to other machines protected with a Surity fax device. An optional secure-fax mailbox is also available.
The product sells for $1,995 and is available from AT&T Secure Communications, a unit of AT&T Paradyne based in Greensboro, N.C.
